Simple but stylish..!

Hello Friends..........

Have you enjoyed making necklaces? Hope you have. It is a good idea to pass your spare time, especially for housewives.

Tomorrow I will be leaving to my native to celebrate ONAM with my family. Before that, I want to wish you all a happy Onam!

Onam?  What’s it.....??? Don’t scratch your head; mallu guys will be familiar with this festival. It is one of the most significant harvest festivals of Kerala.

Before going, I would like to show you how to make a bracelet.

I have already introduced you- the tools required for making a bracelet. Here we need the tools, which we have already used for making an earring or necklace. Only the new material we required is elastic. Here I am showing you two easy methods to make a bracelet.

 Materials required are:

·         Beads and elastic

OR

·         Beads, eye pins, clasp, plier and cutter (if you are a continued reader of my blog, you will be familiar with these tools. Otherwise please read the oldest post to get an idea about the tools to be used).

First one is using elastic. String your beads on elastic and make a knot at the ends to finish off the bracelet. It is very simple. Thing to note is - don’t put your beads too close, because it may cause breakage.

Second method is by using eye pins. Select the beads of your choice and string it on the eye pin. Cut the extra length of the eye pin using a cutter and bend the edge of eye pin with your pliers; rotate it clockwise and make a loop and connect it with the next eye pin having beads. Continue the same steps until you reach the required length. Attach a clasp at the end.

Your bracelet is ready! It’s my Onam gift for u all.. !

Nowadays bracelets are there for men, women and kids. Men normally wear beaded bracelets (wooden beads, letter beads) and metal ones.

While making bracelets for kids, use some hangings like flowers, butterflies or animals for attraction. Kids usually like letter beads. These can be used as friendship band, Rakhi etc...

A lot of varieties are there for women. Like glass beads, wooden beads, plastic beads, paper beads, metals...etc. If you are going for a party and don’t like to wear any neckpiece, wear a single bracelet having attractive stones or wear four to five beaded bracelets on  your arm, this will certainly going to give you the intended cool look......

 Try it..! Simple but stylish!
