SAY CHEERS TO CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR!!!

It’s time to say good bye 2013; before that, there is one greater day to celebrate-CHRISTMAS!

Christmas - a time of celebration, rejoicing and fun. There are lot of things making the day so special;  like family get-togethers, cards and presents, Christmas dinner, decorations, Santa Claus, Christmas trees, cakes....etc.

When I think about Christmas the colours that come in my mind is Red and White. Talking about New Year, silver and gold are definitely classic colours to boast on the New Year Eve. What do you think?

Today, I am going to share some of my experimental cute outfits (I hope so), which I made for my daughter! It is very simple and I took the measurements from her old dress. Here I haven’t explained anything in detail. Once I become an expert in cutting and stitching, I will definitely teach you the basic steps, and also put the pictures and videos of it...:)

So, let’s begin! My super model is ready!

                                                       Look Riveting in Red!

The halter neck looks good on both kids and teen girls. The halter style can be used on evening dresses, wedding dresses, swimming suits...etc.

                                                                Pretty in black!

Black goes well with any other colour. Plain black makes the wearer appear thinner and more sophisticated. Hope you got some new styles and ideas through this post.

Every day is a fashion show, and the world is your ramp!

Let’s celebrate!!! “MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR”

A wish came true!

Hey guys, what’s up? Do you remember in my last post, I have mentioned about my birthday gift.
See, what I got on my birthday! Usha Janome Allure! An automatic sewing machine!

Yeaaaa...I am thrilled! A new colourful world has opened up!

It was my great wish to own an automatic sewing machine. My husband made my wish to come true. He knew that I would love to make dresses for my little angel and also interested in embroidery. Thank you dear

Slowly, I have started reading the manual and learned the basics about the operations and mechanisms. I was amazed by the options available for embroidery; it has around 30 stitch functions. I tried sewing almost all stitches. I am yet to receive a demo from Usha service centre.

As a beginner, the main problem what I am facing is stitching the neckline. Even though I am taking the measurements from old dress, it is still not perfect. Hmm...I am not going to give up..One day I will make it... As I told earlier, we have a one and half year old daughter. If I sit and do sewing, she comes and grabs things which are unfortunately sharp and harmful. This puts restrictions on my enthusiasm.

Somehow, I made a few dresses within a week. My mom lost her 3 to 4 saris in my experiment. Some are fine and some are flop. Anyway I would like to share some of my creations with you. You are the judge!

How is my cocktail dress? It’s easy to make.

Cute little skirts!

As I am not a professional tailor, I won’t be able to teach you or even tell you anything about sewing. For me, stitching is not as easy as jewellery designing, but I would like to make it as my cup of tea. Hope, like the colourful beads, the colourful threads, this will also make my life brighter!
